Inner Smile

When we are dissatisfied with something, the body starts producing the hormones responsible for making us ready to face unfavorable circumstances. If we are not going to take any physical actions correspondingly and, therefore, produced hormones are not going to be used, they affect the body by causing illnesses and dysfunctions.

All stress hormones are like professional warriors who, in time of peace (in time of moderate physical activity for the body), rob and murder their owns because they cannot do anything else.

Positive emotions decrease production of stress hormones and make the endocrine system to produce other type of hormones and other chemical substances. These ones will relax the body and help the immune system to repair the damage after attacks from the outside or inner hormonal storm.

The absolute majority of people live a life where their expectations are always bigger than the results they get, the load is greater than rest, and anxiety gets out of control from time to time. It has been like this always, since the dawn of the humankind, and people who wanted to control themselves on their path to self-development, had to find a method to harness their feelings.

Thus, old Taoist schools in China developed a unique technique to force the body to stop harming itself and reverse its power to heal any wounds. The meditation, which we know today as Inner Smile, is based on concentrating on positive emotions and moving this sensation across the body keeping control over the process.

We start to perform Inner Smile with concentration on our head, when we recollect something really pleasant and funny from our real experience and try to keep our attention on it. We smile and imagine how the feeling of joy is filling the head, concentrating particularly on the spot between the eyebrows, or in the middle of forehead imagining that we keep our smile there. Then, we move our attention to the thyroid gland visualizing (and feeling it after some time of practicing) that joy comes down there from the head.

Imagine how every muscle relaxes around the thyroid gland. Feel that you love your thyroid gland, and then imagine how it smiles back at you. Actually, it will be easier to imagine how the organs can smile if we understand that when you smile, you lift left and right corners of your lips. On the contrary, when you drop your lips’ corners, it will show how unhappy you feel about something.

It helps quite a lot if we know anatomy. Then, we can mentally locate every organ more precisely and know where its left and right ends are situated. Projecting the feeling of joy directly onto organs and imagining how its left and right corners go up is what we need to perform the inner smile in the most effective way.

After you filled up your thyroid gland with joy and made it smile, move your attention to your heart. Feel your heart. Fell how it fills with joy and happiness, and see by your inner sight how it smiles. Then, move your concentration to the lungs and fill them with joy. Continue to move this sensation further down to the liver, kidneys, spleen, stomach, pancreas, and then go directly to the abdominal brain. Feel how the your entire abdomen is filling with happiness and smiling.

Do the same with your urine ladder, sexual organs, moving further down to the spine's base. When you reach the spine, imagine that its every segment is smiling while the smile is raising up toward the head. When you feel that your whole backbone is filled with joyfulness, return the smile back and feel how all your internal organs and tissues, your entire body is saturated with joy.

When you master the ability to hold concentration on pleasant experience and move it through the body, which the body enormously benefits from, you can quickly arouse this sensation any time you want and send it to any part of the body. It will boost positive nervous activity there and, in turn, trigger response from the circulation and immune system. Lots of bodily problem could be solved quickly in this way.

Inner Smile can be considered as a necessary tool for anyone who has multiple problems with the body or regular mood swings. For others, it is a very good technique to keep illnesses away and develop concentration.

Besides, Inner Smile is absolutely harmless and has no side effects whatsoever.
